CUCULA is a Berlin based model project that enables refugees to create a future career for themselves.
The project began in 2014 by building furnitures with the designs by Enzo Mari and has now developed into a real company that creates design objects in form of a manufactory.
Working with and not for these newcomers CUCULA aims to empower them financially, socially and with crafting skills. By doing so it is also a platform for an interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange. The model project is a design subject, as well as a scope for new societal chances. The focus lies on the potentials and talents of each individual.
