medi – a brand for the whole world

What started as a three-man business 60 years ago has since evolved into one of the leading manufacturers of medical aids today. Thanks to innovative products and future-oriented concepts, 2,200 medi employees – 1,300 of them at the headquarters in Bayreuth in Germany – make a significant contribution day after day towards patients achieving therapeutic success.

The range of products of this Franconian company extends from medical compression stockings, supports, support socks and orthoses to thrombosis prophylaxis stockings and compression clothing, as well as modern leg prostheses and orthopaedic inserts. In all of these products, medi has a special concern: users should not feel as if they are wearing a medical aid.

From the many years of experience gained with medi compression technology, completely new concepts have been developed for high-tech lifestyle products. The sports brand CEP offers intelligent functional products for a variety of different sports. The fashion label ITEM m6 combines fashion and functionality for active and body-conscious people who love lifestyle and value their health.

In 2011, medi founded the aid project medi for help for the prosthetic support of crisis regions such as Haiti.
